Studio Setup for Infant Portraits

I’d been wanting to try some high-key photography (that’s where the exposure is pushed above a normal level to emphasize the bright whites and highlights) as well as experiment with fun setups for infants. ...For lighting I set up a main strobe (studio flash) in the right front, a second light to the front left as a fill for the shadows -- both of which I fitted with softboxes. Then, for a kicker (a light to create highlights off hair and clothing) I set up a third strobe at the back left. ... Finally, I set up a small background strobe on the floor behind the table to through white light on the background and eliminate any shadows from the table, props, and baby. ...Jocie had to cuddle and pamper her, and then place her in the basket with the modeling lights as low as possible so that I could still focus the camera, yet keep her content.
