The problem with using a point-and-shoot camera to shoot a real estate listing isn’t really about the type of camera; it’s about the mode of shooting. ...The problem is that the camera can’t do that without help: Either the room will be properly bright and the scene outside blown out pure white, or the outside will look normal but the room too dark. ...In this image -- shot in the same room at the same time as the first image -- I balanced the indoor light with the outdoor light by using off-camera strobes (or flash units) controlled manually.
